After David Montgomery left Sunday’s game with an injury, Khalil Herbert took over and piled up 157 rushing yards on 20 carries. He found the end zone twice scoring on an 11-yard run in the first quarter and added a 1-yard plunge in the third quarter. Herbert added two catches for 12 yards in the 23-20 win over the Texans.
Fantasy Impact: Herbert showed why he was one of the top handcuffs to roster after dominating the carries when Montgomery left the game. If Herbert is still floating around in free agency he needs to be scooped up regardless of the status of Montgomery for next week against the Giants. The Bears are so run-heavy that Herbert will get work even when Montogomery is healthy.
