Per NFL Networks Mike Garofolo, the Cincinnati Bengal’s newly acquired offensive linemen could play if there were games right now. Since there aren’t, he and the Bengals have opted for him to rest and rehab for a while during camp.
Fantasy Impact: With Cincinnati’s offensive line being a major area of concern last season, it’s not surprising they are taking a cautious approach with La’el Collins. Protecting Joe Burrow and giving him the time in the pocket needed to deliver the ball to his top two targets, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins is a top priority for the team. They will need Collins on the field to do that so look for the team to continue to air on the side of caution until they feel absolutely confident in him practicing. Collins received a three-year, $21 million deal from the Bengals after being released by the Cowboys and will now be a key addition in their pursuit of returning to the Super Bowl.
