According to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, QB Lamar Jackson reported to the Baltimore Ravens training camp on Thursday, July 21. The Ravens’ full-team practices will begin on Wednesday, July 27.
Fantasy Impact: Jackson and the Ravens have been back and forth on the subject of contract extensions, but even in the wake of the massive deal that QB Kyler Murray just received, Jackson appears to be avoiding any sort of holdout situation. The Heisman-winning quarterback missed OTAs for non-contract-related reasons but showed up for minicamp as he continues to work on an extension with Baltimore. Jackson had 3,649 all-purpose yards in 2021 in 12 games of action, scoring 18 touchdowns. On an injury-riddled Baltimore roster, Jackson finished outside the top-15 QBs in fantasy for the first time since his rookie season, but as the team gets healthy and can return to what made them so successful in Jackson’s second and third years, Jackson could be looking at another strong fantasy season. He is currently being drafted at QB4 on average, according to FantasyPros, a mark he cleared in 2019 when he finished as the QB1.
