According to Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer, WR Laviska Shenault could be on the bubble for a roster spot in Carolina, though Kaye says he’s on the “better end of the bubble.”
Fantasy Impact: Shenault started his career in Jacksonville where he had a pair of 600-yard seasons. After being drafted 42nd out of Colorado, it was expected he would further his skill set as a true WR, and despite solid production, he struggled to get out of a gadget-player, slot-WR, YAC role. In 2022 in Carolina, Shenault has just 272 yards. With a new system coming in for 2023, there’s a chance Shenault could be unlocked in a new role, but the new regime has no need to keep him if he doesn’t perform over the offseason. Kaye says if Shenault can show improved route running from last season, he’ll make the roster.
