Laviska Shenault Jr. has been traded to the Carolina Panthers, per Ian Rapoport.
Fantasy Impact: Shenault is a third-year receiver who has suffered from poor QB play, and poor offensive systems in his young career in Jacksonville. He will now head to Carolina where Baker Mayfield should be able to perform as the best QB Shenault has played with so far. In his rookie year, he showed an ability to be a solid red zone target but failed to find the endzone a season ago. With D.J. Moore’s documented lack of TDs perhaps Shenault will benefit as a target for Mayfield in Carolina’s offense. Other than Moore, Robby Anderson is the only other major competition in the Panthers’ receiver room. If the Panthers’ offense can produce in 2022, Shenault could be worth a late-round draft pick in fantasy drafts this season.
