Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports “coaches were not happy, and that’s an understatement,” in response to Leonard Fournette beginning mandatory minicamp weighing nearly 260 pounds.
Fantasy Impact: Fournette has yet to impress the Tampa Bay coaching staff this offseason after not attending OTAs and now beginning minicamp about 20 pounds heavier than 2021. The Buccaneers just spent a three-year contract on Fournette who is 27, yet they also drafted 23-year-old rookie Rachaad White out of Arizona State. White profiles as an impressive three-down running back, more than capable of being Brady’s go to receiver out of the backfield. White is a guy to target in drafts, and the Tampa RB situation is one to continue to monitor as the offseason progresses.
