Le’Veon Bell was the subject of head coach John Harbaugh’s comments on Baltimore’s running back situation. Harbaugh did not specifiy who would definitely play on Monday Night Football, but he did mention that ‘Bell is still getting his legs under him’ and also noted that ‘Freeman and Murray are more game ready.’
Fantasy Impact: Bell and the rest of the Baltimore backfield is a wild card for the immediate future. The head coach did not commit to assigning anyone a role, although Ty’son Williams should be getting touches since he has the most history in the system. After Williams, it seems that Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman are the next best options for Week 1 given that Bell’s ‘legs are not underneath him’ quite yet. If you plan on rolling the dice with any one of these options, hold your breathe.
