According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, the New England Patriots intend on starting QB Mac Jones in 2023, though they expect him to be pushed by backup Bailey Zappe.

Zappe had his moments as a starter in New England and could continue to apply pressure to Jones who enters his third season in the NFL.
