Former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Mac Jones is being rumored to the San Francisco 49ers, per Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network. Jeremiah noted that “Everything you hear points to Mac Jones to the Niners” in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact: San Francisco now holds the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL Draft after securing that selection via a trade last week. Jeremiah noted that he was just passing along information that he has heard and this is more of a rumor than an official report. All signs are pointing to the Niners selecting a QB and Jones is highly likely to be there at No. 3 with Trevor Lawrence going to the Jaguars and Zach Wilson possible heading to the Jets. Jones led the Crimson Tide to a National Championship last season while completing 77.4% of his passes and tossing 41 touchdowns against four picks. This won’t be the last rumor we’ll hear about Jones as the NFL Draft is a month away.
