According to Zack Cox of NESN, despite appearing to be the clear starter on Monday, QB Mac Jones saw less exclusive work with the first team on Day 2 of the New England Patriots minicamp.
Fantasy Impact: According to Cox, Jones worked exclusively with the 1s on Monday while QB Bailey Zappe operated with the 2s. But on Tuesday, Jones and Zappe each got a set with the starters and backups. Cox added that Jones’ second set included starting wide receivers but the backup offensive line. The belief is that Jones will be the team’s starter in 2023, but his rocky sophomore season in 2022 makes his role feel less secure.
