Mac Jones’ head coach Bill Belichick has seen “dramatic” improvement in his second-year signal caller this offseason and has had teammates singing his praises throughout the offseason according to NESN’s Zack Cox.
Fantasy Impact: Jones was reportedly impressive in spring practices and is coming off a rookie season in which he was not asked to do too much, i.e. his 3-pass attempt game against Buffalo. Jones appears to be poised to take the next step in his development this season and could become much more fantasy relevant. Last season, Jones finished his rookie campaign with 3,801 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions with a QBR of 50.9, all numbers he can easily surpass in 2022. Jones could potentially be a sleeper league-winning kind of quarterback if he puts it all together with Belichick at the reigns, especially considering he can be drafted in later rounds after rounding out your other positions with more certified studs.
