Mac Jones is expected to start against the Raiders on Sunday but could be on a short leash. The young QB has struggled the past several weeks and if he does not improve soon, it appears the Patriots will look elsewhere for their QB.
Fantasy Impact: The good news for Jones is the Raiders aren’t the greatest of defenses. However, they can still get to the quarterback thanks to their pass rushers, namely Maxx Crosby, so if they rattle Jones early, we could see Bailey Zappe or one of the other backup options come in at quarterback for New England. It’s unknown exactly who the Patriots would favor but given they have turned to Zappe previously and the popularity of “Zappe Hour” with the fanbase, it could easily be the second-year QB.
