Malik Cunningham joins Patriots’ practice squad

The New England Patriots have re-signed QB/WR Malik Cunningham to their practice squad.

Fantasy Impact: Cunningham was waived Tuesday as the team trimmed the roster down to 53 players. Both Cunningham and Bailey Zappe were waived Tuesday, so the Patriots’ backup quarterback situation remains in question. The team could look to sign a veteran that was released Tuesday, or elevate Zappe or Cunningham to the active roster.
