The Chicago Bears and free agent wide receiver Marquise Goodwin have agreed to terms on a one-year deal.
Fantasy Impact: After opting out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns, Goodwin looks to be back in 2021, this time playing for the Bears. Goodwin flashed his potential in 2017, hauling 56 of his 105 targets for 962 yards and two touchdowns. Health has unfortunately plagued the speedy receiver throughout his career, though. Since the Bills selected him in the third round in 2013, he has only been able to suit up for 75 total games, with 2017 being his only 16-game campaign. The Bears pass-catching corps is very thin right now after superstar Allen Robinson. Second-year receiver Darnell Mooney showed some promise as a rookie, but there isn’t much competition after that. With the Bears shopping Anthony Miller on the trade market, there’s a very good possibility that Goodwin instantly becomes the team’s WR3. There’s still a lot of offseason left, including the draft in a couple of weeks. Keep an eye on the Bears’ transactions as Goodwin could end up a deep-league sleeper option.
