QB Mason Rudolph is being given “almost equal” reps to QB Mitchell Trubisky and has a “great shot” at becoming the starter, Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada said in an appearance on 93.7 The Fan.
Fantasy Impact: The Steelers not only brought in Trubisky to presumably be the starter this offseason, but they even drafted QB Kenny Pickett in the first round after the retirement of legendary QB Ben Roethlisberger. If Rudolph were to emerge as the starter, it would be a bit of a surprise. He has the most experience in Pittsburgh’s system as he heads into his fourth NFL season as a third-rounder from Oklahoma State. Rudolph is a known commodity in Pittsburgh, not an untested QB. He has gone 5-4- with a 13-10 TD-INT ratio in his 10 starts and has only produced a 100-yard receiver twice.
