Matt Barkley to sign with Panthers

The Carolina Panthers are expected to sign quarterback Matt Barkley pending a physical, per Mike Garofolo.

Fantasy Impact: The Panthers are bringing in Barkley to serve as the teams backup to P.J. Walker, who has been named the teams starter after it was discovered Sam Darnold has been diagnosed with a partial fracture to his right scapula. Even with Darnold in line to miss multiple weeks, it’s highly unlikely Matt Barkley becomes fantasy relevant.
