According to Joseph Person of The Athletic, second-year QB Matt Corral could see the majority of the Carolina Panthers’ preseason QB snaps in 2023.
Fantasy Impact: There are a couple of reasons the Panthers could be inclined to do this. For one, top pick Bryce Young is likely to be the team’s early starter, so they may want to limit his preseason exposure. As well, Andy Dalton is a veteran who doesn’t need much preseason action. Corral also didn’t play in his rookie season – a preseason Lisfranc injury forced him into a redshirt year. Corral’s action this preseason could be valuable for either his long-term outlook as Carolina’s backup or for his prospects for other teams looking to take a flier on a young QB.
