Matt Corral released by Patriots

Matt Corral has been released by the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Impact: The Patriots recently claimed Corral off of waivers when he was let go by the Panthers, but now they’re releasing him to make room for Bailey Zappe to sign to the active roster. It seems likely that the Patriots will try to bring him back on the practice squad, but it remains to be seen if that will happen or not. Either way, this move solidifies Zappe as the QB2 for this team and the next guy up if anything happens to Mac Jones.
