Rams head coach Sean McVey said he does not expect quarterback Matthew Stafford to throw in any team drills prior to the Rams break training camp in Irvine on August 10 according to ESPN’s Sarah Barshop.
Fantasy Impact: McVey and the Rams are reportedly not worried about Stafford’s elbow and are simply erring on the side of caution to make sure he is ready for the season opener against the Bills on September 8. Stafford is entering his 14th season and knows what is necessary to get ready for another season, even without throwing passes in minicamp, and understands the bigger picture and season goals. Stafford is coming off a season in which he completed 67.2% of his passes for 4,886 yards and tied his career-high with 41 touchdown passes while leading the Rams to their first Super Bowl in Los Angeles.
