Melvin Gordon III, who has been splitting time with Javonte Williams in the Broncos backfield, is presumed to be in line for a very heavy workload Thursday with veteran RB Latavius Murray not yet on the active roster and the aforementioned Williams being out for the year.
Fantasy Impact: Gordon has not had a strong start to the 2022 season, highlighted by his league-high four fumbles in four games. However, the 29-year-old veteran will now have a chance to redeem himself with an increased workload on Thursday night against the Colts. Gordon’s only competition for touches will come from scat back Mike Boone, but fantasy managers should expect to see the bulk of the Broncos’ backfield work go through Gordon, who should be viewed as an RB2 with some legitimate upside in Week 5.
