New York Jets beat writer Connor Hughes is projecting that rookie RB Michael Carter will take over the 1A role in the team’s RB rotation.
Fantasy Impact: Hughes says the Jets will likely use a RB by committee approach this season but “keep an eye on Carter as the eventual 1A in the group”. Tevin Coleman will likely lead the backfield to start the season due to his experience in the zone run blocking scheme. Hughes points out that “the thing that separates Carter, though, is his catching ability.” Carter is an elusive runner who excels in the open field and has shown the ability to break free for long runs.
