Connor Hughes of The Athletic is reporting that Jets rookie RB Michael Carter is rotating with the starters at OTAs.
Fantasy Impact: Carter rotated with running backs Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson throughout practice. “The Jets want to rely on the run, similar to the 49ers,” per Hughes. “Also like the 49ers: They will use just about everyone at their disposal. New offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur rotated Ty Johnson, Tevin Coleman, and rookie Michael Carter throughout practice without any frontrunner for the lead job. All three have skill sets the Jets want, and they will use each depending on the situation.” The Jets selected Carter in the fourth round of the NFL 2021 Draft. Carter is elusive and should help the Jets on passing downs. “Carter, the rookie, is sneaky twitchy. You can tell he’s the most elusive of the group. The key for him will be determining when to dance and when not to. Sometimes he needs to be decisive.” Carter is a dynasty stash for now after compiling 1,200 yards and nine touchdowns for UNC in 2020.
