Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said this week that Michael Gallup’s rehab is going “very smooth” and he “looks excellent” according to the Dallas Morning News’ Michael Gehlken.
Fantasy Impact: Gallup has reportedly “hit every target” so far as he continues to avoid any setbacks in his rehab of his torn left ACL. Gallup finished last season with 35 receptions for 445 yards and two touchdowns in parts of nine games. The 26-year-old has been out since tearing his ACL while scoring his second touchdown of last season on January 2 against the Cardinals. Gallup makes for a good draft & stash candidate for fantasy managers in later rounds as he should slot in as WR2 in a high-powered Cowboys’ offense once he returns. Gallup avoided being put on the PUP list so he should return by Week 3, if not sooner.
