Michael Gallup ran routes at practice on Thursday for the first time since suffering an ACL tear according to the Dallas Morning News’ Michael Gehlken.
Fantasy Impact: Michael Gallup said “it felt great” being back on the field and running routes again. He had not done so since January 2, 2022, when he suffered a Grade 3 ACL tear catching a touchdown in Week 17. Gallup’s recovery should make fantasy managers and Cowboys fans both happy but managers should be wary of taking him too early with his injury history. He previously missed seven games early last season as well after straining his left calf in Week 1. When Gallup is on the field, he is an excellent talent and source of fantasy scoring, but it has been hard of late for him to stay on the field. He is not even expected to be ready for the start of the regular season so discount him accordingly on draft day.
