Michael Mayer catches one ball in Week 8

Michael Mayer caught one of his two targets for 19 yards in a 26-14 loss to the Lions in Week 8.

Fantasy Impact: Mayer was quiet for much of the evening. He was targeted on back-to-back pass attempts by Jimmy Garoppolo late in the third quarter. He came down with the first target but the Detroit secondary broke up the second one. Mayer now has 11 catches for 148 yards in eight games this season. He will be a low-end TE2 in Week 9 against the Giants.
