Michael Mayer scores first career touchdown in win

Michael Mayer caught 3-of-5 targets for 19 yards and a score in the Raiders’ 16-12 win over the New York Jets on Sunday night.

Fantasy Impact: The touchdown was Mayer’s first of his career. One of a hopeful many to come. Quarterback Aidan O’Connell displayed trust in Mayer on the touchdown catch, as it was very heavily contested but the young tight end came down with the ball. Hopefully, that trust will grow as the season progresses and Mayer becomes more involved in the offense. He’ll look to build on this performance next week against the Dolphins.
