New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) was placed on the preseason Physically Unable to Perform List Monday.
Fantasy Impact: As expected, Thomas was placed on the preseason PUP list Monday. He’s expected to miss all of September after undergoing ankle surgery in June. The Saints star wideout could miss the first six regular-season games if he remains on the PUP to start the year. Thomas is an injury stash for the second half of the season as he will miss the start of the season. Alvin Kamara, Tre’Quan Smith, Marquez Calloway, and newly signed Chris Hogan will see more target share while Thomas is sidelined. The 28-year-old’s draft stock has taken a significant hit and is currently 29th among all wideouts in the latest expert consensus draft rankings.
