Mike Boone released by Houston Texans

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, veteran RB Mike Boone is being released by the Houston Texans on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact: Boone, who is 28, signed with the Texans in March after spending the last two seasons in Denver. With the Broncos, he had 255 yards from scrimmage in two years. Boone’s per-rush efficiency numbers for his career are very good, albeit on small sample sizes, but it’s unlikely he’ll find a significant role anywhere at his age.
