The Vikings will hire Rams passing game coordinator and tight ends coach, Wes Phillips, as their offensive coordinator.
Fantasy Impact: Phillips was the passing game coordinator for the Rams during their Super Bowl run this past season, and will join fellow Super Bowl champion Kevin O’Connell in Minnesota. He and O’Connell worked on the same staff both in Los Angeles and Washington, so they have plenty of familiarity with each other. Phillips, son of former NFL coach Wade Phillips, will be a major part of weekly offensive preparation, but O’Connell will call the plays on gameday. Fantasy managers should expect Minnesota’s offence to look very similar to the Rams offences of the last three years.
