As reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter Thursday morning, the Chiefs have released veteran OT Mitchell Schwartz.
Fantasy Impact: The Chiefs have now released both of their starting OTs from 2020’s Super Bowl run in succession, cutting both Mitchell Schwartz and Eric Fisher Thursday morning. Schwartz, a three-time Pro Bowler, and first-team All-Pro in 2018, suffered a season-ending back injury that required surgery. Barring his recovery, Schwartz should have plenty of suitors on the free-agent market. The Chiefs save $7M against the cap with his release.
