The Jets’ DST allowed 24 points while recording two sacks, four pass defenses, five QB hits, and one interception in New York’s 24-9 loss to the Ravens in Week 1.
Fantasy Impact: The Jets’ defense played much better than the final score would let on. They held Baltimore in check most of the first half, including making a big red zone stop following a Flacco interception in a 0-0 game. Ultimately the offense’s futility kept them on the field too long and led to the 24 points allowed. The Jets did become the first team to ever intercept Lamar Jackson in September, for what it’s worth. If your league awards return yard points then this defense can provide more value but for now, with Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh on the schedule next, it’s probably best to look elsewhere.
