Nick Bosa unlikely to be traded, team hopes deal’s done soon

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said simply that the team would not consider trading star edge rusher Nick Bosa. He said there’s a chance the hold-in could continue into the season, but they hope a deal is done soon.

Though Shanahan said he hopes Bosa will be back for the start of the year, he knows there’s a chance he won’t be. Bosa was placed on the 49ers’ Did Not Report list, meaning he is not currently on their 53-man roster, and it’s uncertain when things will be resolved.
