The Eagles have agreed to terms with former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens, the team announced on Twitter Monday morning.
Fantasy Impact: Mullens, who went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, has been on and off San Francisco’s active roster and practice squad over the last three seasons. In 2020, he started eight games, going 2-6 and throwing for 2,437 yards with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The Eagles only had two quarterbacks on their 90-man roster (Jalen Hurts and Joe Flacco) after waiving UDFA Jamie Newman last week and needed to add at least one more to be able to get through training camp and the preseason. Mullens faces an uphill battle to make the final roster but does land in a good spot in terms of opportunity due to Philadelphia’s lack of depth at the position.
