ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter reports that the Bills are signing free agent tight end O.J. Howard, formerly of the Bucs.
Fantasy Impact: Moments after agreeing to terms with Von Miller, Buffalo also struck a deal with Howard. Through 17 games in 2021, the 6-foot-6 tight end hauled in just 14 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown. However, he has shown much better upside in the past, as evidenced by the 1,456 yards and 12 touchdowns that he accumulated over the course of his first three pro seasons. Howard will likely open next season as the No. 2 tight end behind Dawson Knox, but that doesn’t mean he won’t see the field. Expect Buffalo to utilize multi-tight end sets so that they can deploy both weapons often.
