Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest is reporting that Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny underwent minor knee surgery this offseason.
Fantasy Impact: Penny “had a little work” on his knee this offseason, per Fann. He won’t participate in mandatory minicamp after undergoing a cleanup procedure on his knee. Seahawks HC Pete Carroll expects Penny to be back by training camp. The 25-year-old RB has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career and has been limited to 13 games the past two seasons due to knee injuries. He rushed for 34 yards on 11 attempts across three games in 2020. If healthy, Penny will compete with Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas for the Seahawks No.2 running back spot behind Chris Carson.
