Per Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Sun, rookie WR Rashod Bateman will not be “thrown into the fire every play” offensively as he returns from core muscle surgery as stated by OC Greg Roman.
Fantasy Impact: Bateman’s rookie debut had to be delayed for a while but it seems like Week 6 will finally see the first round WR suit up for the Ravens. It’s to be expected that coming back from core muscle surgery Bateman will progressively get more involved but the upside is definitely there as he was a standout for the Ravens prior to his injury. It’s worth noting however that with WR Sammy Watkins dealing with a hamstring issue that Bateman could see more involvement faster than expected. Regardless, Bateman is worth a roster spot across fantasy football as he finds himself on a high soring offense with a QB in Lamar Jackson that is throwing the football more than ever before.
