Robbie Anderson tweeted on Saturday that he is thinking about retiring.
Fantasy Impact: The likelihood of Anderson’s tweet being a joke – or at least the likelihood that Anderson won’t actually retire – is extremely high. His contract extension runs through the 2023 season, he recently converted $11.6 million of his salary into a signing bonus that he’d have to pay back if he retired, and he’s just 29 years old. For now, don’t adjust your draft boards or take any action in dynasty or keeper formats, and expect Anderson to play for the Panthers this year. But, as any diligent fantasy manager should, continue to monitor the news in case there’s any other support for the notion that Anderson might hang it up prior to the start of the season.
