According to ESPN’s Field Yates, QB Sam Darnold has been designated to return from injured reserve by the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Impact: QB Baker Mayfield missed Week 6 with an ankle injury that may hold him out for some time. In his place, QB PJ Walker got the start, but he was heavily limited by playcalling that kept his throws at or behind the line of scrimmage. Mayfield won the job from Darnold in the offseason, but after a four-touchdown, four-interception start to the season, we could see some quarterback carousel-ing begin and continue in Carolina in 2022.
