Sam Howell is “going to be our guy” according to second-year wideout Jahan Dotson. Howell fell in the 2022 NFL Draft after suffering a down year his final season at UNC but has the opportunity to take the starting job for himself in his second NFL season.
Fantasy Impact: Howell showed dual-threat ability in college, maybe not top-tier like Lamar Jackson or Jalen Hurts, but he can run. His one and only start last season came against division rival Dallas, who they defeated 26-6. In that game Dotson and Terry McLaurin had a combined target share of over 50% and were Howell’s top targets. It’s not out of the question for Howell to be surprisingly good, he at one point was one of the top college prospects. Fantasy managers can take a shot on Howell late in superflex or two QB formats, but it’s best to hold off drafting him in normal formats.
