Sam Howell unlikely to play Saturday

Sam Howell is unlikely to play on Saturday against Cincinnati, along with most of the starters. Jacoby Brissett will start in his place.

Fantasy Impact: Howell has already won the preseason QB competition against Brissett, so Washington has little to gain by putting him out there after already giving him in-game reps in Washington’s first two preseason games. Howell has impressed so far, but if he struggles during the regular season, one has to wonder how much of a leash he will be given with a coaching staff that needs to win now.
