NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting Ravens WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 9.
Fantasy Impact: We haven’t seen Watkins in live game action since Week 5. However, it looks like the veteran wideout will make his return to the field in Sunday’s tilt against the Vikings. Watkins has drawn 7+ targets, 4+ receptions, and 44+ yards in the first four games of the year but took a step back in Week 5 when the hamstring injury was sustained. Since Watkins has been sidelined, highly touted rookie Rashod Bateman made his NFL debut. Bateman is dealing with a groin injury but is also expected to play, which could limit Watkins’ PPR floor. Neither wideout has popped for the Ravens in 2021.
