New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) will not play in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Impact: Barkley did not practice this week and will miss his second straight game due to an ankle injury. Devontae Booker is expected to lead the Giants backfield this Sunday. The former Denver Bronco rushed 12 times for 41 yards and secured all four targets for 28 yards in the Giants’ 38-11 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6. Booker could have a tough time finding room as the Panthers have been stout against the run and rank seventh in rush DVOA. Barkley’s next chance to return will be in Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
