Saquon Barkley: Brian Daboll won’t rule out RB

Head coach Brian Daboll is not yet ruling out Saquon Barkley (ankle) ahead of their matchup against the 49ers on Thursday night.

Fantasy Impact: Barkley suffered a sprained ankle just a couple of days ago that reportedly would leave him sidelined for a few weeks, but now HC Brian Daboll won’t yet rule him out for the team’s game on Thursday. He said that the RB ‘feels a lot better’ and noted that they’ll make a decision about his availability sometime closer to kickoff. He still seems likely to be inactive against the Niners, but this could indicate that he’ll be back sooner rather than later. If he’s confirmed to be out before game time, Matt Breida will serve as New York’s RB1 in his absence.
