Snoop Conner rushed for 19 yards om seven carries but was not targeted in the passing game in Jacksonville’s 16-15 loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday night.
Fantasy Impact: The rookie out of Ole Miss will begin the season as Travis Etienne Jr.’s primary backup after the Jags traded up into the 5th round to select him in this year’s draft. Conner will have the beginning of the season to prove why he should remain in the rotation once James Robinson (Achilles) returns but when he returns remains to be seen. Conner, a 5’10”, 222-pound bruiser, will also be used in short yardage and goal line situations giving him great fantasy value even behind Etienne and worthy of a late-round pick on draft day. Fantasy managers who take Etienne would be wise, especially given the fact Etienne missed all of last season, to try and draft Conner as a handcuff.
