Taylor Heinicke and the Washington Football team have agreed to a 2-year/$8.75M contract extension, per Ian Rapoport.
Fantasy Impact: Heinicke has been in the league for a few years after being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2015. Far from a household name, Heinicke played an outstanding effort in Wild Card Round against the Buccaneers, passing for 328 yards and falling just short to the Super Bowl Champs. At least than $5M per year, Heinicke will likely serve a backup role in Washington. It should be noted that his contract is incentivized by how many games he plays, so this could be a quarterback situation to watch throughout the offseason.
