RB Tevin Coleman, who suffered an undisclosed injury away from the team facility, will start his season on the non-football injury list.
Fantasy Impact: Last season, Coleman saw some limited play, appearing in 11 games and rushing for 356 yards. Outside of injury relief, Coleman might not see much playing time this season after the New York Jets drafted second-round RB Breece Hall. Coleman has a lot of experience with the Shanahan tree, to which Jets head coach Robert Saleh belongs, and provides a veteran presence that will help the Jets’ young RB core. The NFI list will allow Coleman to still be involved with the team, even without being able to practice.
