Trey Lance had the splint on his index finger removed, and is holding and gripping the football, though not yet throwing.

Fantasy Impact: Lance is progressing as expected, but it seems highly unlikely that he’ll get his normal reps prior to the 49ers’ game against the Lions. Lance is a prime draft/stash candidate everywhere, but fantasy managers should not expect a ton of production in the early going. By mid-season, he’s likely to be an impact option at quarterback.
