The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday that they have signed 2022 2nd round pick, TE Trey McBride to a rookie contract.
Fantasy Impact: McBride was simply dominant at Colorado State. Per PFF, McBride produced a 38.1% dominator rating in his past two seasons, an incredible number for a receiver, but even more absurd for a TE. McBride is a high-quality TE prospect, but rookie TEs don’t historically offer much fantasy relevance and his landing spot with Arizona is far from ideal. In 2022, McBride will likely play behind veteran TE Zach Ertz and be limited to playing in 2-TE sets. McBride isn’t likely to be a player worth rostering in most redraft leagues, but he could be a valuable asset in dynasty leagues for fantasy managers who are willing to roster him for the long haul.
