San Francisco 49ers running back Trey Sermon rushed 10 times for 31 yards and a touchdown to go along with two receptions for three yards in a 30-28 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.
Fantasy Impact: With Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) banged up and JaMycal Hasty (ankle) on IR, Sermon operated as the 49ers’ lead back on Sunday night. He didn’t do much with his 10 carries and two receptions, totaling 34 yards but he was able to salvage his night with a goal-line plunge in the fourth quarter. It’s worth noting that San Francisco also relied on fullback Kyle Juszczyk in this game. He outgained Sermon 51 yards to 34 on three fewer touches. Either way, Sermon should be in the mix next week when the 49ers host the Seahawks.
