The Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday that they have signed their 2022 1st round pick, WR Treylon Burks to a rookie contract.
Fantasy Impact: Burks, who was selected with the 18th overall pick in last month’s draft, is a massive WR (6’2″, 225lbs) with breakaway speed, making him a difficult player for defensive backs to bring down after the catch. Burks isn’t a refined route runner and he benefited from a heavy dose of manufactured touches at Arkansas, but he has strong hands and has impressed in contested catch situations. Ironically enough, the player Burks has most often been compared to is AJ Brown, the WR he will be replacing in Tennessee. Rookie WRs have taken the league by storm the past few seasons, and Burks landing spot is one of the more favorable when compared to the other top WR prospects from the 2022 draft class. Burks will be worth taking a flyer on in the middle rounds of redraft leagues and he is currently being drafted as an early to mid 1st round pick in dynasty rookie drafts.
